The George R. Brown School of Engineering is a place where women thrive. Bucking national trends, they make up more than 33% of engineering undergraduates and 31% of graduate student engineers. That’s because women engineers find a supportive environment at Rice Engineering bolstered by talented faculty who are comprised of 20% women, ranking 8th in the nation.
We seek to provide K-12 students and teachers from diverse backgrounds access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) opportunities at Rice through school visits, summer camps, professional development, and other activities tailored to their interests.
Our Spotlights on Diversity and Inclusion is intended to recognize individuals, teams or organizations with connections to Rice Engineering that enhance the equitable participation of people from diverse groups in engineering education and/or practice.
