The Rice Engineering Alumni (REA) board has elected Brianna Singh as REA president for the 2026-2027 academic year. Singh officially began her one-year term on July 1, succeeding Felix Campos ’08. The REA's mission is to support, honor, and connect Rice engineers throughout their academic and professional journeys.
Strong Roots at Rice and Professional Leadership
Singh earned a B.S. in chemical and biomolecular engineering with a certificate in Spanish from Rice University in 2018, later completing her MBA at Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business in 2022. She is currently a director at EY-Parthenon, where she focuses on mergers and acquisitions in the energy and industrial sectors. Previously, she worked in healthcare advisory at PwC. Singh began volunteering with REA in 2021 before joining the board in 2022.
Reconnecting Alumni and Strengthening Community
For the upcoming academic year, Singh’s top priority is expanding opportunities for Rice Engineering and Computing alumni to build professional networks and re-engage with the university.
“I’m honored to lead the REA this year and look forward to working with fellow board members and volunteers to help Rice engineers reconnect, stay engaged with the school, and support current students,” Singh said. “I met some of my best friends at Rice. Those late nights spent working on problem sets and experiments created shared memories and lasting friendships, an experience many Rice engineers can relate to. My goal is to create meaningful pathways for alumni to reconnect with that community of friends and give back.”
Empowering the Next Generation of Engineers
Continuing REA’s strong tradition of student support is another key pillar of Singh’s term. In recent years, the REA has established sustainable programs that provide financial assistance as well as hands-on career guidance through mentorship, resume reviews, and networking opportunities.
“My first experience as an REA volunteer was reviewing student applications for scholarships, conference travel funds, and project grants—many of which were truly extraordinary,” Singh noted. “Rice students are tackling crucial, complex problems. Supporting them on their journey to change the world is deeply meaningful to me and to our alumni network. REA serves as the bridge that enables alumni to make that support possible, and we plan to build on that legacy this year.”
Looking ahead to her term, Singh expressed enthusiasm for the team surrounding her.
“We have an incredible board and group of volunteers, all of whom are exceptionally talented, highly experienced, and committed to Rice,” Singh added. “My ultimate goal as REA president is to empower them to continue serving and giving back to the community with passion and dedication.”
