The Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium (GCURS) is hosted annually by Rice University. Join us Nov. 9-10, 2024 for a day of science, mentorship and networking.
Why GCURS?
GCURS is an annual event held each fall that brings undergraduate researchers and Rice faculty together — potentially paving your way into one of our graduate programs!
Open to current undergraduate students from around the world, accepted students are invited to give a 10-12 minute talk on their research, and receive coaching and encouragement from faculty and graduate student mentors.
Not only does GCURS foster interdisciplinary, intercollegiate camaraderie, but it is also a great opportunity for students to gain presentation experience and meet peers at other institutions. In 2019, Rice welcomed more than 300 guests to campus for an unforgettable experience. Each division includes a keynote address given by a Rice professor — including many of our faculty from the School of Engineering.
