Stephanie Post has joined the George R. Brown School of Engineering at Rice University as assistant dean of operations, effective Feb. 20.
She will head significant internal and external strategic initiatives, and work with the associate dean for finance and administration on financial management and budgeting. She will also serve as a liaison to the provost’s office on budget and planning.
“We welcome Stephanie to the engineering team. She brings with her valuable experience in leadership at Rice and elsewhere. She will help oversee and execute various key operational processes in the school,” said Reginald DesRoches, the William and Stephanie Sick Dean of Engineering.
Post has served as executive director of the Center for Civic Engagement at Rice, and as director of its Center for Civic Research and Design. Most recently she served as program manager for Strengthening Our Programs in Rice’s Offices of Institutional Effectiveness.
Post earned a B.A. from Oklahoma State University in political science in 1992 and an M.A. and Ph.D. in public policy from Rice in 1999 and 2002, respectively.
