Director of Engineering Professional Master’s Programs
As director of the Engineering Professional Master’s Programs (EPMP), Fernandez-Moya provides leadership for the program, aligning EPMP’s goals with the needs of the students and the mission of the school and university. She provides strategic reports and recommendations, works with the departments to develop and evaluate new programs, leads recruitment and marketing efforts, manages administrative and fiscal operations, works with industry, government and the advisory board to ensure educational programs and experiences are conducive for a success in business.
A native of Argentina, Fernandez-Moya joined Rice in 2013 as EPMP program coordinator, becoming its director in 2016. Before joining Rice, she worked for Citibank NA, Northwestern University, the Consulate of Argentina in Houston and the University of Houston. She received a graduate degree as a C.P.A. from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1997, a post-graduate degree in marketing from the Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires in 2000, a certificate in integrated marketing from the University of Chicago in 2002 and a master’s degree in communications/public relations from the University of Houston in 2009.
